Love this recipe, easy peasy. I use less sugar. I found dark beer is best, but I've used lite beer too, it turns out too. I also use what cheese I have on hand. If you have unexpected company, it's easy to put together and serve with fruit or tray of summer sausage. While it's baking you can converse with your company and viola homemade goodness

Made this last night to go with my brother's clam chowder. It was amazing! Wonderful flavor and so easy to make, everyone loved it! I made a couple of adjustments though. I only had a bag of shredded swiss on hand, so I skipped the cubed cheese. I also added a small amount of thyme and nutmeg. I'll be making this a lot.

Been making this for a few years. I have used different types of swiss cheese and Chocolate Stout beer. It tastes great while it is warm, but as left overs it really taste better toasted. Will have to try it with cheddar cheese like other have suggested.

Love this recipe. Have used gruyere, have used ex sharp cheddar and have used plain old swiss. Loved them all for different reasons. I also have added herbs like rosemary and oregano and even parsley. This is a very good fast bread and it always disappears immediately. Yummy stuff!

Dark beer and sharp cheddar cheese also make this great. Plus, I use a stick of butter on top and sprinkle with garlic salt. Super great recipe!

Scrumptious bread! I forgot to shred some cheese and cubed it all, it turned out delicious - even better toasted with butter :)

I tried this bread because I like homemade bread but don't always have time to wait for typical yeast breads to rise. My husband has actually requested it and raves about it each time I make it. I vary the cheese and it still comes out delicious!
