This is a good recipe for Sloppy Joe's and has about half the sodium of other reciepes. As some stated, it can be a bit bland, but that's easily fixed by adding more steak sauce and worcestershire sauce. I use A1 steak sauce and maybe that makes a difference.

I have made this recipe for years- my go-to for sloppy joes. I follow it to a T every time and it is delicious!

I thought I had made a review yrs ago but I don’t see it. This is the only sloppy joe recipe I make. I first made it in 2006 and it was a huge hit. I make it exactly as written then add a extra pound of ground beef and a can of manwich. That combination is off the chain!

Great recipe. I used only 1 lb of hamburger and kept everything else about the same. 1/2 green pepper and 1/2 red sweet pepper. Real garlic tho and not the salt. Everybody likes it and it is mild enough that sensitive stomachs don’t complain.

This was very good. It does make a lot so we did freeze half and thaw and eat about a month later. My only problem was that we found that our batch had a lot of spicy heat in it and we can't figure out where it came from as there is no pepper or hot pepper sauce or pepper flakes in the recipe. My wife is highly sensitive to capsaicin to the point where even the smallest amount will cause blistering in her mouth. She found this too uncomfortable to eat.

I was expecting much more flavor with all the ingredients. I thought it was very blah. The only change I made was to add salt and it did not help.

I followed the recipe exactly and was disappointed with the result. Surprisingly bland. This recipe as is, is not a keeper.
