Not enough flavor

To replace onion soup mix, use this: ¼ cup dried onion flakes 2 tablespoons low-sodium beef bouillon granules ¼ teaspoon onion powder ¼ teaspoon parsley flakes ? teaspoon celery seed ? teaspoon paprika ? teaspoon ground black pepper Adjust to taste. One cup of water sounds like a lot. I used 1/2 cup chicken broth.

This was extremely bland and had way too much liquid. Any seasoning was left in the slow cooker and did nothing for the meal. Very disappointing since there wasn't an ingredient in this that I wouldn't normally enjoy. I won't be making this again.

Would not make again. Too much liquid, flavors did not mix well, not enough seasonings. There are probably lots of ways to improve on this basic recipe, but if you're like me and not very inventive, this one is not for you.

I used half chicken stock and half water. I also replace chicken breasts with chicken thighs with bones but removed the skin. Served with mash potatoes. Was awesome.

Made this for dinner and I thought it was pretty tasty. I cut the water in half as suggested by a previous reviewer and I didn't have any fresh mushrooms so I used canned mushrooms. I also added some pepper. Chicken was very tasty, mushrooms were good with the peas.

I doubled everything for my 5 quart slow cooker. It came out much more like a soup, which is how we ate it! Tasted good, just not at all like the picture.- Theresa

Made this for dinner this week and unfortunately it did not turn out well. Very bland and the flavor of the onions, mushrooms and peas did not mix well. I'm sure it's a good base recipe to maybe build on, but if you want flavor, this recipe is not for you.

I made this for dinner last night and we all really enjoyed it. It's not a new or innovative recipe but it's great for an easy weeknight meal.
