Chocolate Pudding Tips
How can I avoid lumpy pudding?Puddings and custards can get lumpy. To prevent lumpy pudding, whisk all the dry ingredients together in a saucepan. Then gradually add the milk, a little bit at a time, whisking thoroughly after each addition until the mixture is smooth. As you are bringing the mixture to a boil, continue stirring constantly. Wondering what the difference between pudding and custard is? It's simpler than you think!
Can I use a different type of milk in this recipe? We recommending using whole milk. Whole milk lends to this pudding’s desirable thick and creamy texture. If you use anything lighter, the pudding will be thin. Also, alternate milks (like soy, almond and coconut) won't thicken properly.
Is there a different way to serve this pudding? There are plenty of different ways to serve this pudding. We recommend turning it into a pie! Fill a baked pastry shell with the hot pudding and refrigerate it overnight. Then, top it all off with whipped cream. Enjoy!

I made it a couple times this receptor is so easy I just didn't add the butter and cut the amour of sugar in half it was perfect that way and you can also make it in the microwave by making the milk hot then add all the ingredients and cook it until thick

We make this pudding once a week for dessert. I use less sugar and sub in Monkfruit sweetener for half the sugar. Still tastes great with less sugar. Thanks for the recipe!

I made this exactly as instructed. It’s gritty tasting even though I stirred continuously. The flavor is good, just can’t get past the texture.

Quick and easy chocolate fix. I used only half the listed amount of sugar and could probably have used half again less. Depends on your sweet tooth. I garnished with whipped cream (without sugar) and mixed berries. Will be a go-to when chocolate craving hits.
