Herbed Turkey Breast
Total TimePrep: 10 min. Bake: 1-1/2 hours + standing
- 1/2 cup butter, cubed
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon rubbed sage
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 bone-in turkey breast (5-1/2 to 6 pounds)
- In a small saucepan, combine the first eight ingredients; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat. Place turkey in a shallow roasting pan; drizzle with butter mixture.
- Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until a thermometer reads 165°, basting every 30 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before carving.

I made this last night. Just realized I completely forgot the lemon juice though. :) I subbed in some white onion for green onions and left out the marjoram. Used the pan drippings to make some really good gravy!

To kareniperry...........Maybe try teriyaki sauce. It has a different taste.

Has anyone tried this without the soy sauce or a substitute? I want to try this recipe but I don’t like the taste of soy sauce!
