This is way to bland it needs to be flavorful I added garlic.browned the meat and used beef broth without tomatoes as I can't eat them, then I thickened it with cornstarch

If you love bland no flavor recipes this is it. I see the glowing reviews but just don't get it or agree. Also not browning the beef makes it extra yucky. No one liked it and it ended up in the trash.

Very delicious recipe! It is not bland at all! Just add salt and pepper to taste!

Make a version of this that my family calls 7 layer dinner , because it has 7 layers. Potato, carrots, onions, rice, tomato sauce, hamburger and then covered with another layer of tomato sauce. We like it , add spices as your family likes.

We had this delicious dish tonight. I halved it for the two of us and made a couple of changes per other reviewers. I used boxed scalloped potatoes and dry onion soup mix in place of the bouillon. Next time I will use fresh potatoes. I also added a can of peas, undrained. Delicious! Be sure to read all the reviews in case you wish to make any changes. Many of the reviewers mentioned that it was bland. Volunteer Field Editor

I havenand#039;t made this yet however Iand#039;m so pleased to find this recipe online! My family has made this meal for over 70 years (minus the worchestire sauce (spelling)) and we call it Hungarian Goulash! We layer just as you do but add a lot more onions. I have nevet been able to find anything close to ours. Now I have! Thank you...!!!

Hi! I make mine with beef, pickles, ketchup, and mustard because beef and potatoes are way too bland for me. That recipe has been passed down for years in my family and I really enjoy making it!
