Cinnamon Candy Popcorn
Total TimePrep: 30 min. Bake: 1 hour + cooling
- 8 quarts popped popcorn
- 1 cup butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 package (9 ounces) Red Hots candies
- Place popcorn in a large bowl; set aside. In a large saucepan, combine the butter, corn syrup and candies; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour over popcorn and toss to coat.
- Transfer to 2 greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from pans and place on waxed paper to cool. Break apart; store in airtight containers.

I have made this for years. If you can find the cinnamon imperials by Brach they melt much easier and coat the popcorn better. I usually stock up on them when I find them.

I made this to give away at work for Christmas gifts. It turned out really nice. What a nice inexpensive gift. I did not have corn syrup so I used honey instead. It did take a little long to bake. What a beautiful presentation.

Out of this world! I have been making this every CHRISTmas for about 8 years know. Everyone loves it and it will be gone in no time! The red color is great for gift giving at CHRISTmas!

The only bad thing about this snack is you can't stop eating until it's gone! My youngest loves to receive a batch in her college care packages.
