Chunky Blue Cheese Dip

Makes12 servings (2 tablespoons dip each)
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1/3 cup minced fresh chives
- Toasted chopped pecans, optional
- Apple and pear slices
- Beat first 4 ingredients until blended; gently stir in blue cheese and chives. Transfer to a serving bowl. If desired, sprinkle with pecans. Serve with apple and pear slices.

reg: christchI'd start w- 1/2c (4oz) as it's going to blend with 8 full ounces of cream cheese and 1/3c sour cream. I'll make it exactly like this and see if the bleu shines through enough using the 4oz if not I'll add the rest to bump up the bleu.

I gave this 3 stars as written but 5 stars after making 1 substitution. I use crumbled Feta with herbs because I have never liked the vomity flavor of blue cheese. Without telling anyone about the substitution, people love this dip. My grandson likes it on a turkey sandwich.

This is a bleu cheese lovers dip! I added just a tad more bleu cheese and used black pepper.

My go to recipe for blue cheese dip - and it can't have enough blue cheese in it for me. Love this really good and would not change a thing

For all the 4 oz 1 Cup people.... If you get really chunky Blue Cheese - 4 oz will make 1 cup... there will be a lot of open space between the cheese chunks... Love this recipe...

This recipe sounds good, but it calls for 1 cup of bleu cheese or 4 oz. There are 8 oz in a cup, so I do not know if 1 cup is a half of a cup or a full cup meaning 8 oz.

I made this for a party and had several people ask for the recipe. It was a complete hit and I made it as written. This will be one of my go-to for any gathering.

I love this recipe in the fall. I made it last night again for my neighborhood Euchre group and all the ladies loved it. It is unique to have a dip with fruit and nuts.

I made this and brought it to work. If you love blue cheese, you will love this! It pairs wonderfully with the fruit and nuts. Will definitely make this again!

Wow, was this tasty!! This dip was perfect with the pear and apple slices and pecan halves!! I used regular black pepper - didn't really see a reason to buy white. I also used green onions/scallions rather than chives only because I can never seem to find really fresh chives in the grocery stores I go to. In any event, the extra bit of onion flavor was great! I will make this again and again!! Thanks!
