If you’ve already exhausted your virtual tour options and completed your baking bucket list by now, you’re not alone. Luckily, businesses around the country are beginning to tentatively open their doors, all while maintaining social distancing. With caution, you can still enjoy the usual summer things, like hitting the gym, getting that much-needed haircut and even taking a vacay at Disney World.
You read that right! Disney World officially announced that its parks will be reopening in July. Here’s everything we know so far.
This Summer Just Got a Little More Magical
Disney officials announced that Disney World will be reopening its doors next month. Of course, not all of the parks will be opening up at the same time. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will reopen on Saturday, July 11, while Epcot and Disney’s Animal Kingdom parks are set to reopen on Wednesday, July 15.
Naturally, park capacity has a limit, too. Social distancing means a limited number of riders and restaurant-goers—though Disney has yet to specify a number—and guests are required to wear face masks. The parks are also implementing pre-entry temperature screenings and sanitizing stations, so you and your family can enjoy your magical vacation worry-free.

What Else Is Changing at Disney World?
Sadly, we’ll have to skip the parades and fireworks show this year, since Disney is putting a hold on any events that gather a large crowd. Cinderella and the other characters will be staying in the castle, as meet and greets are on hold for the time being, too. Of course, Disney World plans on allowing mobile food orders, so you can still get your fill of the best food Disney has to offer.
While the parks will look different for the time being, we still can’t wait to get to Disney World! The only question is…what will we eat first?
